Thursday at 10:05 PM1 day @Techman Great! Are there release notes posted?Nevermind. Found it. Edited Thursday at 10:07 PM1 day by hart2hart
Thursday at 10:08 PM1 day @hart2hart https://forum.universal-devices.com/topic/46475-updated-software-available/I too seemed to be able to update without issue...maybe. Took less than 5 minutes. I think about 7 minutes including the reboot based on notifications from UD Mobile. Two issues I experienced:eisy_ui had issues logging in giving this error: "Timeout waiting for PG3 UI Session" (using Chrome)Plugin dashboard did not load (just showed blank page) (using Chrome)Just closing chrome and re-opening it seemed resolve the problems. The unit seemed to be okay to login so not sure why the errors were being given, but seemed to load fine on Firefox so restarted Chrome and things worked as expected.I confirmed with https://eisy.local:8443/WEB/sysconfig.txt that all systems updated to versions that @Michel Kohanim posted in link above. Nice work UD!PS: If you are using the java admin console and using the device credentials (i.e. https://eisy.local:8443/desc w/ local user/pass) you will need to clear java cache if using IoX Launcher/Finder (be sure you check all three boxes!). If you use the admin.jnlp direct download from the unit you'll also need to clear the java cache and download a fresh admin.jnlp so that UI and Firmware match.
Thursday at 10:38 PM1 day I too updated both an eISY r1 and r2 (in burn in mode). The only quick item I noticed was when opening PG3x dashboard it says IoX Version: 6.0.4 Connected instead of 6.0.5
Thursday at 11:16 PM1 day Painless upgrade here. Had to clear the Java cache as described below to use the admin console. So far, all is well.1 hour ago, Geddy said:PS: If you are using the java admin console and using the device credentials (i.e. https://eisy.local:8443/desc w/ local user/pass) you will need to clear java cache if using IoX Launcher/Finder (be sure you check all three boxes!). Then also only access dashboard through eisy_ui and see if the versions are updated. Also, try the sysconfig.txt link above to see if the versions are updated. Lastly, relaunch the browser and refresh the page. Could be a browser cache display issue.
Yesterday at 01:01 AM1 day I just upgraded my three test Polisys to 6.0.5 (yup I have three of them now, I'm a sucker for punishment!). All were at 6.0.4.Polisy 1 is running the Elk plugin in demo mode. Plugin came right up fine after rebootPolisy 2 is set up with the Zooz zwave dongle, with a test device (Jasco zwave plug in module). That came right back up and the device functionalPolisy 3 is set up with the ZMatter dongle, with a Zigbee test device that I added earlier today(Jasco zigbee plugin module), The two node screens came up blank in admin console after the upgrade. I right clicked on the module and did Zigbee -> Synchronize -> Update with interview, and that brought back the module controls, and they worked fine.Polisys 2 and 3 are the ones I was using to test Zooz to ZMatter migrations earlier this week (and failed). The release notes didn't mention anything about zwave but it might be worth retrying following this upgrade.I'll wait a bit for more feedback from others before upgrading my eisy.My IoX finder is set up with the actual IP addresses for each controller. I had no need to do any java cache clearing or anything. It would be interesting to have a bit more information about some of the items mentioned in the release announcement:"Support for manual static ip config" is static IP configuration back? I'm not seeing it in the Configuration screen."Improved Matter support" what exactly? Reliability? Better device interview results?Minimum previous version 5.9.1 What does someone do if they have a lower version? It's not like the isy994i where you can download older versions.

Yesterday at 02:05 AM1 day Opening a ticket, but was upgrading from 6.0.3. IoX is 6.0.5_1, other versions are up to date. After install and reboot, home page shows "Error loading nodes" for all nodes. Nodes page shows "Error: Internal server error". Tried clearing java cache, unplugging eisy, and clearing browser cache, none of which worked.UPDATE: Apparently you must have at least one folder defined, which I didn't. I was able to add one in AC and that fixed it. A backup would not have helped and this kludgy detail really ought to be in the instructions.Besides following the instructions to the letter, these updates always seem to require some form of standing on one foot facing east while humming the first 5 measures of Ave Maria, that and considerable faith. If I sound frustrated it's because I am. Edited 6 hours ago6 hr by landolfi
23 hours ago23 hr polISY--------Updated to v6.0.5 from v6.0.4. Went smoothly. Asked for and needed a reboot to operate properly.IoX needed no updating and java cache was not cleared. Edited 23 hours ago23 hr by larryllix
22 hours ago22 hr Tried to update and now the admin console says "Completing Initialization" for a long time, followed by something like unable to load IoX nodes and then prompted to exit the AC -followed by the AC not being detected/accessible at all - cycled power multiple times but it leads to the same state and the eisy is not working - I can ssh into the eisy, though but don't know what to do to recover wish I didn't attempt this software update Edited 21 hours ago21 hr by JTsao update

In my case, AC is fully functional, the problem is that eisy-ui won't load nodes.

12 hours ago12 hr I have the same problem with eisy-ui not loading nodes and reporting an "Error: Internal server error." Everything else seems ok.

8 hours ago8 hr Why do the instructions say: Upgrade MUST be done when you are local to your unit AND using the Admin Console?Does the Eisy gets its update thru the AC? If that is the case, then I can understand the concern about a failed connection midway. But I would think it would get them directly from UD?Other reason? thanks.
6 hours ago6 hr No, the updates come directly from eisy. That said, depending on the version, UD Mobile might not get notifications that the upgrade was completed. So, it's always best to be local and using Admin Console just in case things go awry. With kind regards,Michel
